For brides and grooms saying “I Do” in Vieques may be all bliss, but behind the scenes, it takes a lot of work to plan a great wedding here. Vieques Island has seen an increase in destination weddings in the past years, those that have been here will say that it is one of the most romantic islands to say I do.
Our wedding planner Sandy Malone did it!! She has her own show on TLC, set up a reminder for July 17th at 10pm on TLC, a new reality show giving you a real look of what happens behind behind the scenes to plan that perfect wedding here on the island of Vieques, one of the islands of Puerto Rico.

Being a wedding planner in Vieques is no easy task, Sandy Malone is one of the few wedding planners that has managed to build a successful business. Sandy’s number one goal is to make brides and grooms happy on their special day, now you can tune in to TLC’s new show “Wedding Island” on July 17th and see just how she manages to accomplish that goal.

The idea for the program came during spontaneous conversations about her wedding planning adventures between Malone and a friend who does documentaries.
Every time she finished telling one of her many experiences he was in disbelief. Then they both joked about the success of a reality television show following Sandy as a wedding planner.
One day, her friend came to Vieques with a team of 50 people and Malone followed at all times during two weeks each. The product of that work is what will the audience during the program.
“When people see it, they will think “really?” As she smiles she affirms that the filming was authentic in documenting all that really happens during the planning of a wedding.
“Things happen at every wedding. The question is how you manage them, how to fix the problems and who finds out, “says Sandy.
